Italy is Lovely

We have had a lovely time in Italy with our lovely hosts. Lerici is a lovely place with nice people. We have made lots of friends from Sweden and Poland and of course Italy. We have eaten lots of food and I am stuffed full of pizza and pasta. Bellisssimo !!!!!!!!

We loved the Five Islands and it was so romantic I wanted to hold hands with Paul but he said no!!! I will come back again with my wife. I have missed my cats but there is always someone here to remind me of them.

Swedish people are very funny to talk to as are the Polish and we cannot wait to visit these lovely countries. I am hoping to fly on Bjorn's Cessna Plane when we come to Sweden. and I love the Plum chocolates that our friends from Poland brought us.

The schools in Italy are very similar to the schools in England although we spend more effort with our displays and it is obvious that more money is spent on education in England. The computers here are adequate but not up to date. There is no uniform, lunch is free and very very healthy indeed.

The children are adorable and confident and it has been a pleasure to meet them. A lot of the work is done by using and following text books.

The children in Italy can start school at 5 years old and finish at 18 before they make the decision to go to University or out to the world of work.
